The QuWireless A240C QuCube is a compact, sealed outdoor enclosure that houses the Teltonika RUT200, RUT230, RUT240, RUT241, RUT260, or RUT281 alongside integrated 5G/LTE and Wi-Fi 6E omnidirectional antennas. The router connects directly to the internal antenna elements – there are no external SMA cables and no coax loss. The cube form factor keeps the installation footprint small, making the A240C well suited to urban infrastructure, transport deployments, and mobile installations where a low-profile mount is needed.

The 5G/LTE antenna spans 617 MHz to 6.0 GHz and covers the full range of UK and European LTE and 5G NR bands, including sub-1 GHz B20 and B28 for rural coverage and n77 and n78 for urban 5G. The Wi-Fi antenna covers 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz, covering Wi-Fi 6E clients. The enclosure is IP68 rated and tested from -40 to +80 degrees C. It is manufactured in Europe by QuWireless. What SIM card does the RUT241 need when installed in the A240C?

The RUT241 takes a Nano SIM. For fixed installations – monitoring equipment, CCTV, or SCADA outstations – a fixed IP SIM card gives the router a stable, reachable IP address for remote access and VPN tunnelling. For mobile deployments across the UK or Europe, a roaming SIM covering multiple operators is more practical.

Does the A240C support Wi-Fi 6E?

The embedded Wi-Fi antenna in the A240C covers 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz – the three bands used by Wi-Fi 6E. Whether Wi-Fi 6E is active depends on the installed router. The RUT2xx series routers do not support Wi-Fi 6E; they operate on 2.4 GHz only (RUT200, RUT230) or 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (RUT241). The 6 GHz antenna element is built into the A240C enclosure for future compatibility with 6 GHz-capable hardware.
