eSIM Routers For IoT, With Connectivity From Millbeck

Industrial eSIM routers, supplied by The Router Store. IoT eSIM connectivity, supplied by our parent company Millbeck. One ecosystem, two specialists, hardware and SIM service that actually work together.

What Is An eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into a device instead of a removable plastic card. The chip is soldered to the board (form factor MFF2), and the network profile is downloaded over the air rather than physically inserted.

The technical term is eUICC: embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card. That’s the GSMA-compliant hardware standard that lets a single chip hold multiple network profiles and switch between them remotely.

In short: same job as a SIM, no plastic card.

What Is An eSIM Router?

An eSIM router is a cellular router with an embedded SIM chip built in, instead of (or alongside) a traditional SIM slot. It connects to mobile networks the same way a standard 4G or 5G router does, but the network profile is provisioned digitally over the air.

That means you can:

  • Ship a router anywhere in the world and activate it on the right local network on arrival
  • Change network operator without sending an engineer to swap the SIM
  • Run multiple profiles on one device for redundancy or roaming
  • Avoid SIM tray failures in harsh or sealed enclosures

eSIM routers suit industrial deployments, vehicles, and any installation where physical SIM access is difficult or impossible. Most modern industrial routers from Teltonika, Robustel, and similar vendors support eUICC profiles either natively or via a soldered MFF2 chip.

What Is An IoT eSIM?

An IoT eSIM is the same underlying technology, provisioned and managed for machine-to-machine use rather than consumer handsets.

The differences matter:

  • Built for long-term deployments, not 24-month phone contracts
  • Optimised for data, not voice or SMS
  • Designed for unattended devices that need to stay connected for years
  • Supports multi-network roaming so devices stay online if one operator drops
  • Managed through an IoT platform with usage controls, alerts, and bulk provisioning

eSIM Routers We Supply

The Router Store stocks industrial eSIM-capable routers from the leading vendors in the cellular networking space.

Teltonika. RUTX50, RUT series, RUTC50, OTD and ATRM series routers with eUICC support for global IoT deployments.

Robustel. R151oe, R2010e, R2011e, R5020e and R5020Le series with embedded SIM options for harsh industrial environments.

Every router we ship is stocked in the UK, with technical support and configuration help included.

IoT eSIM Connectivity From Millbeck

The Router Store is part of the Millbeck group. While we supply the hardware, Millbeck supplies the IoT eSIM service that powers it.

Millbeck has provided IoT and M2M connectivity since 2002, with a multi-network eSIM platform built specifically for industrial deployments.

What Millbeck’s IoT eSIM gives you:

  • Multi-network roaming across UK, EU, and global operators
  • Automatic failover so devices stay online if one network drops
  • Remote provisioning through a management portal
  • Static, private, or dynamic IP options
  • VPN and custom APN access for secure traffic
  • Real-time usage data, alerts, and analytics
  • Scalable from one device to tens of thousands

Built For Industrial And M2M Deployments

eSIM routers and IoT eSIMs are built for unattended, long-life, mission-critical deployments.

Typical applications:

  • Remote CCTV and security systems
  • EV charging and energy management
  • Smart kiosks, retail, and digital signage
  • Industrial control and SCADA
  • Fleet, logistics, and asset tracking
  • Environmental and agricultural telemetry

4G, 5G, LTE-M And NB-IoT Ready

eSIM technology works across every current cellular standard:

  • 4G LTE and 5G for high-bandwidth industrial routers
  • LTE-M and NB-IoT for low-power, low-data devices
  • Private LTE and VPN environments for critical infrastructure

Match the router to the use case, then match the eSIM service to the router. We’ll help you do both.

Get The Right Router And The Right eSIM

Tell us what you’re deploying. We’ll spec the right eSIM router, and Millbeck will spec the right IoT eSIM service to go with it. One conversation, one supply chain, one point of contact.
