SIM Card Types Available

Roaming SIM Cards

Roaming SIMs connect to multiple UK networks and switch automatically to the strongest available signal. They are suitable for deployments where single-network coverage is not guaranteed – rural sites, remote monitoring installations, and any location where one operator may have gaps. Multi-Network SIM Cards

Multi-network SIMs are provisioned to work across several UK mobile networks from a single SIM. The device connects to whichever network provides the best signal at the installation point. Because the SIM is not locked to a single operator, it provides resilience against network outages and coverage gaps without requiring a dual-SIM router configuration.

Multi-IMSI SIM Cards

Multi-IMSI SIMs carry more than one IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity). Each IMSI is associated with a different operator or country profile. The SIM selects the appropriate IMSI based on the network available at the device location. This makes them well suited to international deployments where a device may move between countries or where local operator registration improves performance over standard roaming.

Dynamic IP SIM Cards

Dynamic IP SIMs assign a different IP address each time the device connects. They are the standard choice for applications that only need outbound connectivity – sending data to a cloud platform, triggering alerts, or reporting telemetry – and where inbound remote access is not required. Dynamic IP SIMs are typically lower cost than fixed IP alternatives.

Global Roaming SIM Cards

Global roaming SIMs provide cellular data connectivity across multiple countries on a single SIM. They are suited to deployments where devices are installed internationally or where a device may be relocated between countries. Fixed IP SIM Cards

In addition to the SIM types above, we supply fixed IP SIM cards that assign a permanent, static IP address to the router. A fixed IP is required for inbound remote access – VPN connections, remote desktop, CCTV viewing, and SCADA polling all require a fixed IP so the monitoring system knows where to connect. Fixed IP SIMs are available on UK single-network and multi-network roaming plans.

IoT eSIM
