The RUTM55 is Teltonika’s workhorse 5G router for sites that need modern bandwidth without abandoning legacy equipment. It combines sub-6 5G (SA/NSA) performance with native RS232/RS485 and a full I/O block so PLCs, HMIs and sensors can be brought online without extra gateways.

For resilience, you get Dual-SIM and eSIM with intelligent switch rules (signal, roaming, quotas, link failure) plus the option to use one of the Gigabit ports as Ethernet WAN for wired backup. Local access is handled by dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and 4× Gigabit LAN, while GNSS provides positioning, time sync or geofencing.

Security and fleet control are first-class: OpenVPN, WireGuard, IPsec, firewall/VLANs, certificate management and remote provisioning and monitoring via Teltonika’s management tools. The compact anodised aluminium chassis, IP30 rating and –40…+75 °C temperature range make it at home in panels, cabinets and plant rooms.
