RUT145 Compact Industrial Router With Ethernet, WiFi4 and RS485

The RUT145 is an industrial Ethernet router purpose-built for sites needing stable network connectivity and serial-device integration, without the overhead of cellular hardware. It excels where RS485 field devices — meters, sensors, controllers — must be exposed over IP or integrated into a LAN, and where a fixed-line or wired Ethernet backhaul is preferred for stability.

Industrial-Grade Build for Real-World Conditions

Housed in a rugged, narrow aluminium enclosure with integrated DIN-rail bracket, the RUT145 fits neatly into control cabinets, switchboards or wall-mounted enclosures. It runs from 9–30 V DC via a 3-pin power terminal and draws minimal power (well under 2 W), making it ideal for always-on industrial or IoT edge deployments. The router is fanless and rated for a wide operating range, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.

With two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, the RUT145 supports standard WAN/LAN configurations or flat-network layouts. Its WiFi module (802.11b/g/n) gives flexible wireless access for commissioning tools, laptops, tablets or local devices, supporting up to 50 simultaneous clients. The key differentiator is the built-in RS485 serial interface, enabling direct connection to legacy meters, controllers, sensors or Modbus-bus devices — bringing them into your IP or IoT network without extra converters.

The RUT145 runs RutOS, offering a full suite of enterprise-grade networking features:
