4G and 5G Routers for Business, Industrial and IoT Applications
The Router Store specialises in professional-grade cellular routers for business, industrial, and IoT use. Every router we stock is selected for real-world deployment – not consumer broadband or home networking. If it needs to stay online unattended, survive in a harsh environment, or integrate with remote management platforms, we have the hardware for it.
We are a Teltonika Diamond Partner and authorised distributor for Proroute, Robustel, and a number of other industrial router manufacturers. Our range covers Cat 4 through to 5G NR, with options for single SIM, dual SIM, eSIM, and multi-WAN configurations.
4G Routers
4G LTE remains the primary network technology for the vast majority of UK IoT and M2M deployments. It offers wide coverage, proven reliability, and a broad choice of hardware at every price point. Our 4G router range covers everything from compact single-SIM devices for simple remote monitoring to multi-port industrial routers with dual SIM failover, VPN, GNSS, and serial interfaces for complex integrations.
If you need Cat 4 for a cost-effective standard deployment, Cat 6 for faster throughput, or Cat 12/18 for carrier aggregation on demanding sites, we stock options across all categories.

5G Routers
5G connectivity is now the right choice for high-bandwidth applications, future-proof deployments, and sites where 4G capacity is constrained. Our 5G router range covers Sub-6GHz NR from compact industrial devices to enterprise-grade multi-port platforms with 4×4 MIMO, Wi-Fi 6, and advanced VPN and security features.
All 5G routers in our range support 4G LTE fallback, ensuring connectivity is maintained if 5G coverage is unavailable at a given site or during network maintenance.

Choosing the right router
The most common mistake in cellular router procurement is buying on specification rather than use case. A router with impressive headline speeds is no use if it lacks the right interfaces, cannot be managed remotely, or is not rated for the operating environment.
Key questions to consider before selecting hardware:
- Single SIM or dual SIM? Dual SIM provides carrier failover and is strongly recommended for any business-critical or always-on application.
- What LTE category do you need? Cat 4 is adequate for most monitoring and control applications. Cat 6 and above makes sense where throughput matters.
- Does the deployment require a fixed IP address? If so, you will need a compatible SIM as well as the router.
- Is remote management required? Teltonika RMS and Robustel RCMS provide cloud-based fleet management for deployed devices.
- What are the power and environmental requirements? Industrial routers support wide-voltage DC input and extended temperature ranges. Consumer devices do not.
If you are unsure which router is right for your application, contact us. We will ask the right questions and give you a straight answer.
Brands we stock
We supply routers from Teltonika Networks, Proroute, Robustel, Cradlepoint, DrayTek, Zyxel, and others. Each brand has its strengths and its intended use cases – we will tell you which is the better fit for your project rather than push you toward the highest margin option.
